Recruiting for a new Researcher post on global climate governance

The One World Trust is recruiting a new Researcher post on Global Climate Governance, £29,000 – 34,000 p.a. plus benefits, depending on experience. Closing date 9 am Friday 27th of August 2010

Contributing to the recognised and cutting edge work on the accountability of global organisations and policy processes of our team you will undertake research on issues of accountability in global climate change and environmental governance, and impacts on the poor in the developing world, to feed into peer reviewed international research and policy development.

The main focus for this post is a three year ESRC/DFID funded project implemented by the One World Trust in collaboration with the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and staff at University College London, focusing on international agencies and Ghana.

You will have a PhD or several years of post Masters professional research experience in an academic or think tank environment in a relevant field, and be able to draw on an excellent understanding of global environmental and especially climate change governance frameworks and their implementation and impact at national level in developing countries.
