Assessment
The PASOS Project combines aspects of working groups and information services in support of policy research organisations in Central and Eastern Europe, the Caucuses, and Central Asia. It fills an important niche in CSO self-regulation for policy research organisations in the region by seeking to raise standards of research-based policy advocacy in the region. Its efforts to develop standards and promote diversified funding, while still nascent, may contribute to ensuring that the political space necessary for members' work remains open.
