- Summary: The ISEAL Code of Good Practice aims at strengthening the credibility of social and environmental standards on the basis of how they are developed . It applies equally to all sectors, including NGOs. The Code specifies general requirements for the preparation, adoption and revision of standards that address social and environmental practices and includes a set of procedures to guarantee participation, effectiveness, relevance and international harmonisation with regulations and market needs. The code is currently undergoing revision and the new version is expected to be launched in 2010.
