Basic information

  • Type: Certification scheme
  • Year established: 1992
  • Status: Active
  • Thematic area: General
  • Summary: The Committed to Excellence certification aims at recognising organisational efforts at excellence in management and organisational learning. The certification process consists of two stages: the first one is a self-assessment against the EFQM Excellence Model (a framework for organisational management systems which examines both enabling factors and performance results) from which the organisation will define its organisational improvement plans. In the second stage, an independent EFQM validator reviews the approach and provides structured feedback. Successful achievement of this level of recognition entitles the organisation to use the insignia ?Committed to Excellence' in their promotional materials.
